Fraud SCAM - pretends to be a guy called James and scams people out of money.
Indian 'lady' called saying they were Right Energy part of uk-talk offering wholesale energy rates. Asked where she was located, she said Birmingham. After stringing her along for 10 minutes I asked what was happening with the Bull Ring, she clearly did not know what I was talking about especially when I asked if that's where she gets the bullsh*t from. Then said she was in Kolkata (aka Calcutta) not Birmingham. Said that I was in London helping police with scam callers - phone went dead!
004721959011 called 7Jun23 at 14:00hrs, recorded message, female voice tells of possible unauthorised charges on my VISA card... same now familiar theme from many scam calls... press 1 to authorise, or 2 to talk to us.... hung up. and ALSO, earlier today 00472195 4099 called 6Jun23 at 17:28hrs No message left. ALSO, 004721195 8163 called 7Jun23 at 10:14hrs No message left Wonder what number will call tomorrow?
SCAM - Says they were from my energy provider but didn't know what company that was.
Hung up as soon as I answered. I suspect this is a scam.

I received a call from this number which had a computerised female voice saying that they were from Amazon and that they were about to take my Prime Subscription and if I did not wish to continue with Prime then to press 1 to talk to them. This sounded like a scam to me and I put the phone down.

SCAM Fraud Said she was my local energy adviser and were arranging for someone to come round and check how much energy I was using. There was talk of checking my roof was tickety-boo and placing a solar panel. I told her I am not interested and she aggressively asked if I were the homeowner. I went to ask what that had to do with anything but there was a click and then she went into a barrage of „well you’re in the right age bracket“ I went stop her at that point but there was a click and she was no long
TAXES / HMRC sure this is a scam! Received an automated message saying I’ve unpaid taxes!!! They would definitely send a letter not an automated message! Beware
Said he was phoning about how we pay our energy bill. Asked for full name,address,DOB,to confirm my identity! I held back and did not supply details as I suspected the call could be a scam. He offered to send an email (knew my email address) and then phone back. I told him to call in an hour as I was busy. No email received and he has not called back. When I checked this number on 'who called me' it made me super-glad I didn't fall for it. This is the most sophisticated scam call I have received - BEWARE !!
