SCAM CATFISH He contacted my mum through online dating, promised my mum love and companionship was buying a house and wanted her to be his forever. Kept this up for a while. Chatting through whatsapp. Then suddenly when they were going to meet he was awarded a contract, then he lost his bank card on site and wanted my mum to go to the bank and open an account in her name and send him the card!!!! Luckly the alarm bells were ringing loud and clear. He called himself Ben Westgarth. 'CATFISH' VERY DANGEROUS,

SCAM - received a call supposedly from Virgin Media. London number but given poor sound quality of the call and the man's Indian accent, the call was clearly from abroad, my guess would be a call centre in India or Pakistan. Supposedly problems with my internet connection/speed that they wanted to try to fix. To test the claim about the person being from Virgin Media, I asked if they could tell me who Virgin Media's CEO is, and the person immediately hung up. A sure sign that this was intended to be a scam.
number seemed suspicious so I didn't answer. When voicemail sets in, no message is left, but you can hear it is a call center. I am sorry for those doing this cold calling job

Search for an app on your app store called "Blacklist" (There s a few to choose from) It s free and I use it to block all of these nuisance calls and texts. These app s are great, Once you get a nuisance call/text, all you do is click onto the app, browse by call log and tap on the call you want blocked and that s it! They can t bother you again!
