received a phishing call from this number querying a payment of £600 on my credit card - didn t use my name or the card supplier and was totally false

This number has tried to call me several times over the past couple of weeks. No voice mail left, just a text to say I have missed a call. I tried to call the number back as have been waiting to find out about a job I applied for. When I called the number nothing happens, no dialling tone, just disconnects straight away :(!!
As soon as I picked up the number hung up
scam reckons they were from Halifax

Left no message on the answering machine.
Called me several times over the course of a week and when I answered they said it wasn t a sales call but could I tell them if I had taken out any credit cards etc in the past two years. Told him I wasn t going to tell him that kind of info and asked to be removed from his database. He politely said yes and have a good night!
