These people pretend to be calling from Microsoft, telling you they have detected a virus on your computer, and if you don t let them help you and follow their instructions your computer will break down, they generally call you back if they feel you fit their demographic, which is elderly and vulnerable. They want access to your computer, do not tell them anything, report them.

This is a genuine number used by Lloyd’s Bank for automated calls when setting up an app or new payment recipient etc. But note that banks will NEVER ask for personal information over the phone, the only thing you should provide in response to calls on this number is the OTP number displayed in the screen on your laptop or mobile device when using Lloyd’s Bank on-line services.

Asked who they were, as didn t recognise number said if they were cold calling I wasn t interested. Then attitude became aggressive as I "needed" to listen to them. I asked for my number to be removed from database and not to call me again. They were still going on when I hung up. Now added to blocked list
