Man with strong Asian accent claiming to be David from Microsoft. I knew it was a scam - doesn t everyone by now? - so I told him I don t use Microsoft. He then hung up.

SCAM- 8.15am, woken by man with foreign accent, said his name was Jan Martin, calling from British Telecom. lot of noise and chatter in the background, seemed to be a call centre. The number was my area code which is the only reason I picked up. I did not engage and hung up. On another handset it showed up as International call.

Asian woman phoned clearly from a call centre due to the background noise, yet came through as this mobile number. She said she was from the Department of Financial Investigations. I asked her how it was a "department" when it was a mobile number and she hung up.

Call at 7.30 in the morning allegedly from Virgin Media wanting access to my router as allegedly there has been a fault over the last couple of days ..... 1) virgin media wouldn’t call tell me there is a fault 2) vm wouldn’t call customers at 7.30am! SCAM
