Said he was calling from HRMC regarding tax avoidance and gave me a number to ring. Not 100% sure if it was a message or a person.I got no response when I asked for correspondence in writing. He said his name was James Anderson. Complete scam! Do not ring the number he quotes, goodness knows how much money would have been taken. Please Avoid.
SCAM So, “HM Revenues and Customs”(?) called to say (in an automated message no less) that I’ve supposedly committed tax-fraud. If I decline, it’ll *totally* be put in my name. I pressed 1 and got an American accent that sounded like someone was faking it, then got put through to an Indian-sounding bloke who asked why I called.
