Dont know if they are a scammer or not...but my number is onlynoassed out to about 20 family members only. So treat wuth caution, hopefully Im wrong they are kegitimate business. Ash
A man called Angus introduced himself. I could barely make out what he was saying over what sounded like a busy call centre room. It sounded a bit like Pay Day Loan solutions. I heard the words "pay Day" distinctly.
This number just called my landline, the lady claimed that she was from Sky and that it had been reported time that my sky broadband was not performing at the correct speed. She did not confirm any of my customer details. Then she asked me what devices were connected to the broadband and instructed me to go to the p.c, so tat I could adjust the broadband settings. SCAM / SPAM Didn't answer the phone, as it looked like one of the many numbers that BENEFICIAL calls me from.
At least the 3rd time this week that this number has rung, activated the ansaphone without leaving a message and has left the line open. It bypasses TPS.

I have called applianceserve on 08004118899. I said I had asked for a refund of the £175 I had paid for my washing machine to cover the next 3 years following the expiry of the manufacturer s guarantee but had not received any response. Having seen comments on the internet saying it was a scam, I said if the company is genuine then please can you arrange a refund. She looked up my details and said someone will call me tomorrow in office hours. She sounded pleasant - so - watch this space!!
