SCAM / SPAM Guy who claimed to be from Vodafone saying he wanted me to confirm my Pin to get an upgrade. If it was Vodafone and they were cold calling they wouldn't need identity checks.

Very suspicious but I can't work out what is happening??? A guy called me saying he had a missed call from me. I didn't recognize his number and thought it would be very unlikely for me to ring a random number like that by accident. He insisted that I had called him though and he was merely calling back. Checked my dialed call log - no I hadn't called him!!! I'm therefore trying to work out what the scam might be???

block straight away if you can, pretends to be vehicle accident insurance company, telling me I had an accident last year and trying to give me compensation. I have never even had an accident whilst i ve been driving so clearly false. Other person on the end of the phone keeps telling you they will not ask for your bank details but I believe this is a trap for something later on in the call. I hung up. Rang me back twice in two minutes so I blocked them.
SCAM Allegedly calling from O2 offering a 40% discount to existing customers as a retention "bonus" to stop losing customers due to the COVID pandemic... very strong indian accent so actually quite hard to understand if you are not Indian. If you agree to sign up, they say they will send you 2 SMS messages and you need to give them the code from the second message to verify you are the account holder, then they will sign you up for the discount promotion. Both messages really are

Has regularly called each day for some weeks but never leaves a voicemail. I never take 08 calls as I feel they re notorious for belonging to folks looking to do some sort of business or wanting to make money from me in some way - I shall be the one to choose who I engage and intend to pay for ANY service, and not the person who happens to come across my number somehow. Their persistence is irritating. It doesn t seem unreasonable to leave a message and in case of genuine reason I m sure they would - unless
