Claiming to be from paypal with a link to follow due to unusual activity on my account. Checked my paypal account on my pc but nothing suspicious there. Looks like a scam.

Unbelievably rude person asking for my personal details, hung up on me. AVOID.
Call centre based in India. They claim that there has been unauthorized activity on the internet from your computer and they will disconnect you unless you pay them. Once they have your credit card details they will take all the money that they can get away with. There are other variations on this to get your credit/debit card details.
