Sounds like a con. Caller pretending to be a debt collector - household has no debts, good credit history so no reason for call. He tried calling again, number blocked.
Texted saying they could help with my claim, adding they had been trying to contact me (rubbish). I have an anonymous phone so replied CONFIRM, just to see what happened. They called me, and clearly had no idea what accidents I have had (none!). When I asked which accident - was it the one in Greenwich, he said no, the one in Oxford, and said that whiplash is a very serious thing. Ha! SCAM
This was an Amazon scam, with an autovoice speaking about a Prime subscription, then offering a rep who then tries to hack into your computer by a remote control app you're asked to install to sort the 'problem'.
This number called four times today and only spoke on fourth occasion asking if this was the owner of the telephone line and knew the name of householder.
Recorded message telling me there is a fraud case against my name. I had to press 1 to be connected. If I didn't press one I would be attested shortly. These never get old.

SCAM received a text from this number saying that it's from Royal Mail and asking for an unpaid shipping fee of £2.99 to be paid on a scam website
