Scam number fishing for information starting with fictitious accident I never had ! Hung up when I asked where did they get my number from.
Automated call to a person I have never heard of. I phoned back and they claimed they were working on behalf of a Utility Company, but would not tell me which one. I explained there was no one here by that name, as I am the first and only resident here. I asked that they give me the name of the utility company as obviously their information was incorrect. They said this could not be done. I said their practice of not checking the number before pestering people reflected what a rubbish company Westcote is. I
theft of money, information and other criminalactivities
Woken up at 8.16am by a woman with an Asian accent asking for me by name. I asked her who was calling but couldn t understand her reply. She then said that she d seen I had been having trouble with my credit card. When I interrupted her to ask how she got my number she hung up. I work late and was annoyed at being woken so early. I get a lot of nuisance calls so tend to leave my answer machine on. I only answered on this occasion because I was expecting a call from my health centre whose prefix is also 02
