SCAM Came through as a text message. Straight away knew it was a scam as HMRC do not send texts. Said tax rebate whereas the revenue call it tax refund when they send a letter.

This morning I needed to register on the gov.uk verify process. Part of that process involves getting my identity proven. I used Experian for that. Part of the process with Experian is that you will get an automated phone call with a code to type in the Experian application box (so confrim that the phone number I had given belongs to the person making the application). The number which appears on my caller display is 01159338000 so I'm classifying this number as safe.
