Monday May 8 Call from this number stating they were ringing from microsoft. This was one of a series of 6 calls starting on Friday 5th that stated they were (or were probably connected )from microsoft ! Different numbers used for each call; no messages left on answerphone. Mobile phone spam / scam / fraud. Scammers pretend to call from Currys Mobile department. They will sign you up on a completely different deal than agreed initially with the most expensive phone available. They use several phone numbers some of them on Whatsapp. Also will e-mail an order confirmation from an address that seems genuine. It's not. After receiving the parcel they will try to convince you to send the phone back to some shady residential address. Avoid!
Fraud. They phone you just after *they* request access to your account via your phone company's website by using the "Forgotten Password" link, so that the real phone company will send an OTC (one-time-code) to your mobile for verification. These criminals then call you saying they're from your phone company and ask for the OTC that you've just received. rang on our landline but we have call screening, didn't announce who they were or leave a message so can't be anything important or anyone we know as known contacts are listed.
Scam caller, states they are O2 offering me a discount on the services I have with them (I'm not even with O2). When questioned about how they got my number, became very hostile and rude. The line was also very poor, kept crackling.
