This another useless waster and I am applying for a bar on it. I have also had today a woman purporting to be from microsoft help team. This is a well known to me scam trying to con you into buying dodgy if not downright illegal spy software which they will charge you for,or try to spend to your limit on your credit card as a fraud tell them to hang on while you switch on your computer. Then put the phone down and wait for the call ended tone.
Was called by this number tonight. No answer when I picked the phone up no idea who it was
Just had a call from 01952 241140 - when I answered they took a few seconds to respond, suggesting a call centre. Claimed to be from Microsoft and wanted me to confirm I was the owner of this computer (I was on the phone not the computer but hey...) I confirmed it and then he asked the same question again but used my name. I confirmed it again and he hung up! Not sure what it was about but very wary.
They try to sell pension-advice. Unfortunately, no one really knows who they are.
