Man with Pakistani accent (no name given) said my computer is giving me trouble. It is, as it's refusing to boot up. He also said it is a laptop, correct again. Completely unnerved, I said that Action Fraud would be delighted to hear about it and then I rang off without giving any of my details. This has got me really, really worried. I do my utmost to keep everything secure, with passwords, 3 step authentication, etc. How has he got in?

If you do not believe me, ask them during a video call to show the weather outside and watch em try to avoid it Wasn't stupid enough to fall for it so unsure of the end game but likely some form of sextortion scam as they were hoping to move the conversation to Telegram and such scams are common there Stay safe :)

When I asked where did they get my number from they mumble some national something. when I said they don't have my number they said all they need to know if my house is damaged. Call center , OVO energy trying to tell me my meter is and the end of its life and requires changing to a smart meter. Told them I’m not interested in having a smart meter and to remove me from their call list.
Daughter answered phone at 17.32. Caller asked for her mother. Told I was out. Said to be from bank about my card being used for payment in London. Caller gave my address and asked for confirmation. Daughter said she couldn't give info without me being present. No is showing as individuals phone with EE.
