Silent call
Called my aging father and said they were calling about an existing insurance policy for kitchen appliances.. one that we had and it needed renewed. He holds another policy with a well known company and it wasn't them. They were insistent that he had to renew it and he eventually hung up on them.
I received a text today asking me to ring 0345 301 6084. Phoned Natwest on normal customer service number instead and they know nothing about it, looks like a scam number.

Had a call from this number today (06/02/2020). I didn t answer, but just sharing what I discovered when attempting to identify the caller. Several directories show this as a number related to a recruitment company named Catch Recruitment. Hope this helps :)

TAXES / HMRC Automated SCAM message regarding National Insurance (NI) contributions, requesting to PRESS 1 and speak to an operative. Do not do this, hang up and block this number.
Got a quote online following an advert on Facebook. Due to price decided not to take the offer & thought that’d be the end of it. BIG MISTAKE....4 calls within 5hrs & a total of 11 calls in 5 days. Number blocked & if I receive any further communication from them I’ll be contacting trading standards! Avoid at all costs!!!

It s a company ringing about debts they think you may have had or have and they try to reference your connection to a survey or some search you ve done possibly connected to you looking for the best credit cards available. Scam - automated call saying that it was a from amazon to make me aware of possible fraudulent activity on a card connected with my account and would I please key in financial details etc through them. Ended call and checked on my account and card myself - no problems.

Fraud Got a phone call from this number. I answered the call and nobody answered for about 20 seconds. Then a very thick Indian accent said "Hello, this is Jenny from BT Openreach.....". I replied "No your not...your a scammer" and hung up. I know and live in this dialing code and there are no BT Openreach offices in this area. Given the accent and that it is BT Openreach (which I don't even use) I suspect this is an Indian based scam call centre.
