A very well spoken man said he was calling from some company (I didn't catch the name) to do with my Scottish Widows life insurance. I cut off the call without answering, as I have received calls from this number before. No messages were left, and I therefore assume it is an autodialled spam or scam call. I have now blocked the number.

Text message claiming to be Santander, claiming that there is some suspicious payment attempts on your current account. Said they’d attempt to call shortly ti talk to you about it in on a number, it was like the banks number, its not the actual banks number its different by 1 digit.
I answered a call from this number, and heard a male at the other end of the line with the sound of other people in the room. He didn’t answer immediately, and after a short while asked if I could hear him, to which I, possibly foolishly replied “Yeah, yeah”. The phone was not put down at his end, but there was no reply when I tried to communicate at which point I ended the call.
This is a scam, the call is a recorded message, claiming transactions have been made on your credit card. Don't answer it!
