SCAM This number is after your money. It called me and an automated voice comes in and tells you that large sums of money are being taken from your Amazon account. Man with a thick Indian accent rang claiming to be from BT ringing about the internet slowing down at the house. He had my name and address and postcode. When I asked what my account number was he reeled off a number (which later check was wrong). I said I’d call by back and he gave me an 0333 number saying it was BT customer service. Rubbish! SCAMwas phoned by this number at 1.17 pm today. it was a recorded message stating that my Amazon Prime account was about to --at this point i hung up. I rang the number, it was a gentleman who hadn't a clue what was going on and clearly, his number appears to have been taken over without his knowledge. Received an abandoned call on 22/03/2023. I called back and they immediately knew my name as they could see my number (despite it being withheld). After much persuasion on my part, they told me they were DIRECT AFFINITY EUROPE and had been given my details by a Hull motor dealer (D.M. Keith) to chase a 'lost sale'.
