Feel a bit uneasy about this number. Stated as being in Rochdale yet caller said was calling from Colchester.

Said was from barclays I have my doubts as he would not give his name

Although the number is a London number it would appear it is redirected from a foreign country as the language was not great and any question I asked was answered with a repeated line stating the deal they were offering and not actually answering my question. Suspect it's Cognism or similar checking they have the correct mobile numbers for contacts they're selling. Ask for you by first name, then when you say it's you, they say a random surname and then claim they must have a wrong number.

SCAM I think it’s a romance scam number. Started innocently but then exhibited signs of romance scamming … wonderful to have met you, I love you, I’m hoping all will go well etc… not even met or spoken. Really odd and find the number has been searched a few times which only confirms my suspicions!

SCAM: received a text message, allegedly from my daughter, at 00.54 in the morning which was 'hello mum, this is my new number. My old phone no longer works. Can you send this number a message on Whatsapp? 07706376356.' So I did. I then checked with my daughter, who confirmed that she has not changed her phone number. I have phoned the number twice since; does not pick up but does go through to an anonymous voicemail.

SCAM Indian sounding lady, rang twice this week saying they were from BT openreach that there had been a security breach on my internet line trying to hack my broadband, she couldnt tell me any details, so assuming this was a scam I said its fine theres nothing on my laptop for hackers to get, she then wanted my mobile phone details to show me what was happening, I then told her I didn't bring my phone to work and she got angry and said fine if you dont want to protect your line then hung up !!
Spam call supposedly from carphone warehouse. I said "I have no contract with carphone warehouse" - and the guy replies "oh, that's ok that's ok, I'm not selling you anything. I just wanted to call and tell you that I love you so much, and I want to marry you". At which point I'd hung up.
