Scam - said I am calling from O2 - can I have your name.
Text pretending to be o2 saying my payment to o2 was invalid and to log into attached website to change payment. Checked my bank and payment was going through normally, didn’t log onto website obviously!

SCAM. I think this is a scam it was sent to me on a text per porting to come from one of my sons - it seems to be sent from Manchester and my son is somewhere not even in Uk.
Received today at 16.27 from: 07486 599 597 the following text message, which read, QUOTE: - hey mum I smashed my phone and I'm using a friends phone to msg you their phone is about to die can you whatsapp me on 07553 496 236
This is a very dangerous number pretending to help in call blocking needs more detail than a doctor just a load shit put the phone down.

Been called twice by this number & both times a silent call for 5 secs and then a computer voice which say's "Good bye". Looks like a spammer to me. Now Blocked!!!

Im no idiot and i told them to remove my number and to not call again. I still keep getting 2 to 3 calls a day which i declined then blocked the number. It seems as though this could be a nuisance caller. My husband and I have both had calls from this number today, on our mobiles, while on holiday in France. It's slightly worrying, as we have many friends and relatives in the Manchester area. Our phones silence any unknown numbers but as no voicemail messages were left we are assuming the calls weren't important.

Insurance Called from Direct Insurance about my kitchen appliances claiming that as I hadn't made a claim in over a year they could offer me a substantial discount on my renewal fee. The thing is, although I haven't claimed I am NOT insured with this company. I've now had three or four calls and each time I've asked them politely to remove my details from their database but they still keep calling! I told them today I would report them to you.

I am not looking for a job and have never had any contact with the real Impellam. The information on this page that the number is located in Kazakhstan is also suspicious, since Impellam does not appear to have an office in Kazakhstan.
