The caller claims to be from Microsoft and he has phoned to help fix a malware problem,i asked for his name he said it was Max, his accent was Pakistani and he was very forceful in helping me. At this stage I am uncertain if it was a genuine call

reckons he was from the 'telephone preference company ! heavy foreign accent. disconnected the call when I laughed

Caller knew my first name and claimed he was representing Nationwide Bank. As I was expecting an overseas call at that time I said I thought it was suspicious that he was calling me. At that point he disconnected.

Asian sounding guy, rabbiting at speed about who I was and telling me my details, barely caught a word, then says BT will call to save me money on my Telephone and Broadband, then hung up immediately, never asked was I interested in any possible savings, not even the basic pleasantries of asking how I was etc... Just quick fire rabbit rabbit rabbit, BT will call me, click, all I can say is, if this was anything to do with BT, they are now less likely to be getting my business than they were before.

I jsut had a call from a sweet man give me this whole spiel about Great Ormand Street Hospital. I know great hospital etc. In the end I didnt donate because i am not in the position to financially, otherwise he nearly had me there. Other threads on the net suggest that this was a hoax. Female caller from Albion Assured asking to speak to my husband about the collision he had in his car. Told her he had not had one, her response was "not even in the last two years" I said no and she hung up.

Fed up with calls from this number blocked it with my phone reported to TPS but seems to make no difference BY need to look into this type of thing and try to stop it after all we pay enough for the BT service avoid at all costs

Complete idiots from Bangalore using a secondary call centre in the UK! They also use another number as soon as you tell them to go away in short, sharp jerky movements ( that s f off in Enlgish lol! ). The other number they use is 002079460172 - tell them to go away as well if you get them folks and tell them you re Pakistani just for added effect - does the trick! :)
