Received an urgent sounding recorded message, claiming to be British Gas and asking us to call 01216290765. Spoke to BG, and they have confirmed that THIS IS A SCAM, as they would never contact customers in such a manner.
Didn't recognise number so didn't answer. No message left
Just received a call from this number which said I had a text message but the message was garbled. Phoned our friend who was in a London hospital thinking it was him and he had sent by accident a text message to our landline which resulted in this call. It must be the message service operated by BT but doesn t appear to work very well.
PPI call,insisted I listen, told him he should not have phoned this number.

SCAM!! This is a really dumb, badly worded post office delivery scam, written by someone who seems to have the literary skills of a housebrick.
The comments are interesting I have had daily phone calls from this number , I have now blocked it , I also donate to unicef. But what I wanted and what I can afford . SCAM Coputer voice said they were BT and there was suspicious activity on our phone line and they were going to disconnect it. Press 1 for ? or Press 2 to speak to someone about it. As we have not been a BT customer for nearly a year and do not use there phone line. We are with Virgin that does not use BT lines. It was a scam ! I did not press any number as it would probably cost us money. This company have 100's of numbers under the same prefix and change every last numbers every few day.

Have been called multiple times from this number 01164884202. It only started happening when I had to use my Android phone's normal browser (Firefox) to make an online bike insurance quote. Usually use duck duckgo which blocks your telephone number from sites

SCAM again! Caller had information that I had been involved in a ‘no fault’ traffic accident.
It seems the criminals, who obtained personal information as a result of leaked information from Talk Talk, are telling people their broadband service is likely to be closed down after 24 hours. It is rubbish. I did not answer the call, and got my information from other sites.

Call from India saying they calling from HMRC. Ask for all personal details which obviously I didn't give and they told me to go to hell and cut the line.
