British Gas Business, Called about Site Visits.

This is about the 5th similar Sheffield number making repeat and unsolicited calls to my phone. We have a call handling service and they don t leave a message. I have now blocked this number too.

I just researched this number as it appeared on my phone 4 times in the last month and one site said its a company named Domestic & General. I just wrote to them to remove me from their marketing list.

This number has been spoofed so that it appears as the CLI of the caller when it has no relationship to the people originating the call. This number was assigned to a legitimate business in Surrey. They have now changed their number. The spoofing still carries on and people are getting missed call messages with this number on their mobiles and landlines. This number called me after I had placed a request for a tradesperson to do some work for me. His accent sounded very artificial as if it wasn’t his normal accent. He may have been genuine but I don’t think he was. It is showing as a number from Russia and I live in the UK. He said he would come this evening to look at the work that need to be done. He would not take any details about where I live but wanted me to text them to him. I have read that 0738 is associated with scam calls so did not text.

just had a call from this number, they knew my name, but when i asked who they were they hung up on me

Got a call today from this number. The guy didn t introduce himself but said he was from Google marketing and wanted £180 to put my page on a first page search. (I do this myself already). I said I could do what he was offering for next to nothing and at that point the caller got aggressive, I hung up him. He s obviously a chancer trying to scam people out of money. Yet another sad fool giving Manchester a bad name. I will be reporting him to Google.

I was called from this number by a man with an African accent. I asked to be removed from their database. Caller became aggressive and offensive and used obscene language. This number should be reported to authorities for legal action.
