SCAM - Called claiming something about Frozen Crypto balance quoted some number like $26k immediately knew it was a scam.
This number should be a landline from areas of Otley, Ilkley and Guiseley. I haven't found any ratings for this number somewhere else on internet resources, which should be a good sign... Does someone have some experience with this one? Was trying also different formats of this number, but no luck.

Called me around 4 times today, picked up but first time nobody answered. Last time just some idiot was laughing at the other end of the line. Multiple voices in the background, probably a call center ( and kind of funny how these guys are actually get paid for bullshitting real working people with real jobs). Blocked.

SCAM - claims to be HMRC investigating you for tax evasion - do not give them any information. As I was suspicuious from the start, as a test I gave them fictional name, postcode etc., and after they told me they have the file on me in front of them, I knew it could not be true HMRC

I have been called 3 times by this number over the last 2 weeks - often at highly inconvenient meal times. It appears to be cold calling fund raising drive linked with University of Birmingham (I am an alumnus). Very annoying and puts me off ever donating any dosh to the University (even if I had some to spare! I would like this to stop.
