Since last July I have been getting calls from this number (plus variations of the number)clearly the same company. I ignore most but sometimes answer. Twice I told them to take me off their systems (after pressing 5 to get through to someone), including that I don t mean make a note on the computer not to call but that I meant remove me completely. SCAM There was a short pause after I picked up the telephone, with a lot of background noise, such as you might get from someone in a crowded bar, not what I'd expect from a legitimate outfit. The person who spoke had a thick accent so I initially thought it might be from an overseas call centre. The person who spoke said they were from British Telecom, so I told them where to go and hung up.
