Forex company - Non UK call centre and so rather rude about it

Called and got automated message telling me that my services would be cut off within 24 hours and to resolve the issue I was requested to press one. Needless to say, I didn't. Extremely irritating nuisance calls which would be very upsetting to someone less wary. Scaremongering at its worst. (Previous message against incorrect telephone number)

SCAM - Claimed to be from Amazon offering to arrange a refund for an order if I provided details. I pointed out that I could cancel through my account. They said they would not refund me without the details. I ended the call and checked my account which showed no activity

SCAM - Claims to be HMRC, do not trust

Had 4 missed calls from 07700900949, googled the number, saw the comments and blocked the number

Probably the same call centre as previously reported 01164330013 ? (check it here : http://www.shouldianswer.co.uk/phone-number/01164330013 - road accident spammers, accident chasers). I blocked this one, people did someone answer it?

A lady wanted to confirm a road traffic accident that I had recently been in, that wasn't my fault. I told her to go away and put the phone down.

Answered call and recorded voice said " We are Whitehouse Insurance services we tried to call you and will try to call you again later" All very odd. Clearly as dodgy as hell and straight on the blocking list.

Fraud

I have had several hundred of these calls. Each time from a differnt number. I block these numbers but they just call from another!!! So annoying!!

Had a call claiming to be HMRC saying I've committed tax fraud and that action was being taken against me. I was told to press 1 to find out more so I hung up as I have read somewhere that as soon as you press a number, your phone can be hacked or something bad like that. I know for a fact that I haven't committed tax fraud and I don't think HMRC would phone. They usually send letters in the first instance. Therefore I'm flagging this up as dangerous.

Rang and asked for me by name and when I asked who was calling he said The U group. I informed him that I was registed with TPS. He immediately said he would delete my number from the database. Very polite throughout the call.

Have received same call from Indian sounding Gentleman many times on different numbers all reported. Same line every time saying I am calling from BT technical and I must switch on Computer and follow his instructions. I would suggest you will upload remote software for them to hack your passwords etc if you do. I just hang up now.
