Guy calls regularly, including public holidays! Sometimes hangs up when you say Hello; other times informs you he s conducting market research. I ve been advised by a friend who had similar calls that telling him his number has been flagged as a telepest, calls are being monitored and that unsolicited calls are subject to hefty fines gets rid of him pretty darn quick. Had a call claiming to be HMRC saying I've committed tax fraud and that action was being taken against me. I was told to press 1 to find out more so I hung up as I have read somewhere that as soon as you press a number, your phone can be hacked or something bad like that. I know for a fact that I haven't committed tax fraud and I don't think HMRC would phone. They usually send letters in the first instance. Therefore I'm flagging this up as dangerous.
