Call pretending to be HMRC threatening legal action unless one speaks to an agent by pressing the number one. I did not do that as I suspect that would then be charged at an exorbitant rate.

They called my mobile and left a message for me to phone with meter readings (even though I sumitted them on-line in last 30 days). They get paid for each reading, without them collecting it. So my energy provider has increased costs(passed onto the customer) to receive something they already have. I ll save costs for me and my provider by submitting on-line.

I m the MD that one person above is keen to tell everyone about. We identify our phone line (an 01422 number) and my mobile is also clear for all on our company website. I do this as we have nothing to hide. We operate strictly by the Market Research Society guidelines. An infuriating hang up, the third from an 0141 number this week - and I am supposed to have caller protection service!

Called saying I d had a car accident. Recorded message when answered. Then was put through to a call centre agent who seemed very upset when I said I d report them as I m registered with the telephone preference service.

Lot of noise in the background, he got interrupted by something chiming very loudly. Listened to his spiel and politely explained I wasn t interested and took it well, until I mentioned that I couldn t afford one of the products he was offering that I was actually interested in and he rather rudely told me I should get a better paid job. I am getting numerous calls on a daily basis from 020 numbers - this one is the most frequent. Never leaves a message and when I answer no-one is there.
