When I insisted they identify themselves they swore at me, very rude.

Claimed to be paid by Microsoft, insisted I switch on my computer which supposedly had a virus. Resisted and argued when challenged, became abusive and continued to try to persuade me (but failed). This no. originates from a company called Vintels (http://www.vintels.com/). They already has a complaint upheld by the ASA against them (Google Vintels and ASA) for sending out SMSs saying "Free Msg: Our records indicate you may be entitled to ?3750 for the accident you had. To apply free reply CLAIM to this message. To opt out text STOP". Vintels however keep changing the wording slightly to get round this.

To the guy who gave a positive review: cold calling private numbers is a major problem. Even If you did get a good deal on your insurance, these people have no right to be calling people randomly and trying to sell. It s an invasion of privacy, full stop.
