This number calls you, you get a brief ringing tone and the call is answered silently and drops the line when you answer. Probably illegally locating live numbers for unsolicited calls.

home improvement company from Braintree. he had my name and i asked him if i had requested a call. he said it was his job to call me as part of his job. I said that it was a cold call and it was his company job not to ask him to call me especially as i am registered with the tps.He knows exactly what he is doing and he knows my right to say no to cold calls. Since this call was going nowhere he ended it because if you do not answer this survey all they have is your name and number to pester you another day

3 times this number has contacted me in the last 2 hour, each time asking for a different name none of which I know doing my head in now. They keep saying they will remove number then ring again half hour later!!

I too received a call at a funeral at 1020 this morning about so-called PPI, when asked how they got a ex directory number, they were reluctant to answer their source. I informed them a complaint will be submitted for their harrassment, I have also sent a letter to the BBC Panorama. programme who are investigating companies under various names. Blabbering on about investing in fine wine - he mentioned about a brochure so I send because I was busy and wanted to get rid of him, he kept talking - I hung up!!! Simples.

Also had PPI cold call.

Woman phoned asking if I was Miss (my girlfriend s name) I m not the butchest of guys but I don t sound like a woman.... Very heavily accented Indian accent, also appalling sound quality with lots of noise in the background. When I asked who it was from, she mumbled something about PPI at which point I put the phone down.
