Received call from busy overseas call centre claiming to be BT. When I pointed out that yesterdays call was reported as a fraud to the police she hung up. Yesterdays call exactly same script but from 01724956685 they are hacking into or falsely generating a UK number. It is the role of BT to put a stop to this nonsense?

SCAM Fraud Caller said they were from "banking credit control" and wanted my name and date of birth because he had seen fraudulent activity on my card. When I said I had 4 cards he again asked for my name and DOB so I made something up and he said he could definitely see £300 going to Amazon and £1100 as an International Money Transfer to China! I again asked him which of the 4 cards he was talking about and when he said VISA I told him I didn't have a VISA card and he put the phone down.

I answered "where was it that I put my name down?" *click* he hung up immediately. He never called back (that was yesterday) Very dodgy.

claimed to be from my internet provider-asked me to confirm router was working ok as had received large volume of calls. When I advised I was not at home(despite the fact they had called my landline) heard whispered conversation with a workmate/supervisor,asked to perform the same check on router again I repeated that I was not at home. SCAM - Caller claimed to be from BT Openreach and said that every minute I was on the call, money was disappearing from my bank account... At which point I terminated the call.
SCAM A recorded message from 'Crystal at BT technical support' to tell me that they had detected that 'your security has been breached; dial 1 to speak to BT technical support. Clearly a scam of some nature, I didn't bother to dial 1 to find out what exactly.

I had a Call earlier and no-one spoke so I hung up then added them to the Voicemail List on my Phone, but then they managed to Call again! Maybe my Phone can t take so many contacts which go to Voicemail, and I don t use Voicemail.
got loads of calls, finally blacklisted them on my phone. calls come thru then when picked up..they just hang up. not tried calling back as it may be a premium number scam.

Well, they phoned earlier and a recorded message informed me, that it was my banks security department, which it obviously wasn't, the number trace showed a call the Russian Federation, RED FLAG. She said, Somebody has accesed your account and made a £600 purchase fron Amazon and a £2,000 transfer to an international account, RED FLAG I politely told her to stop trying t scam people and she immediately hang up, basically, our phone providers should block these calls, as we are paying to receive them!
