This is the fourth time this week calls from 01223 reputed to be Cambridge? saying my bank account has been attacked etc when pressed 2 to talk to the operator a female Asian voice answered....I asked are you in Nagapur India, the line went dead? SCAM Guy called Daniel Gomes purporting to be from Amazon Prime informing me that someone in Manchester had tried to use my account and they needed to verify my details or my account would be suspended for my protection. I did not supply any information, but was told to think about it and call back on 0208 123 7233 which I certainly did not do. I was called again later and this time I hung up. I have received genuine e-mails from Amazon mentioning this type of scam.

SCAM caller - called saying he's from my bank, quoted some card details (correct, must be on a stolen database) to say that Apple Pay / Contactless are down for 24-48 hours while they do upgrades. I didn't give him any info but somehow he managed to set up an Apple Pay with my card and stole £2,600 from our company account, on payday, 4 days before Christmas. SCAM call from a man with Asian accent who said he was BT Openreach. I asked him if there was a problem with my BT internet. He said yes, how did I know that? I said well why else would you be phoning me? He said it's been running very slow for the last few days to which I replied that it's come to a complete stop because I don't have BT internet. I then told him to do something that I won't repeat and hung up.
