Claimed to be from the telephone preference marketing service. Had lots of my details, tried to tell me that his company worked for BT. I got fed up. Told him I wasn t prepared to give him any details about card details etc and I could do what he was trying to do on my phone - which is exactly what I was going to do with his number. Notice I had a lot of calls from odd numbers today so perhaps the scam is to make lots of nuisance calls and then phone up and offer the service..

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 3334439xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with accident claims, insurance management, PPI and pensions - just another call centre. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new?
