I've just kept one of their team talking for 12 minutes, saving others from being called by this scam! They claim to be "Road Traffic Management" and that they can get you additional compensation for a RTA you've had. Called my son saying they were from HMRC wanting a payment and to press number 1, he didn't as knew this wasn't HMRC, as it's for a Dental practice in London. Obviously it's a fraudulent company using their number via the Web.

This number rang me saying they was HMRC investigating officer do not answer

Spam. Was an automated message with threat that my internet is going to be disconnected. I have a BT line, so I put the phone down on it and then picked it up and waited for dial tone and then dialled 1572, which allowed me to block the last calling number. Not sure if that blocking facility works on other providers landlines. But worth a try. It's a neat facility.

Pretending to call on behalf of the DVLA. Wanting to know if I owned a diesel car in return for compensation. I didnt confirm. Knew my first name. Got aggressive and refused to remove my details from the database. Threatened me with more calls. Blocked and reported.
