This number is causing a friend of mine who is in her 80s much grief

Caller said they wanted to ask how I was getting on with new mobile - odd as I have had this one for nearly 18 months! I have received quite a few calls from this number. I decided to phone it back, and there was an automated computer voice (sounded a bit American) which said "I m sorry, an application error has occurred. Goodbye." Obviously a scam of some sort. I ve saved the number in my phone as Spam Caller , so I ll be sure not to answer it in future.

I get about 5 calls every day from this number, sometimes it rings a couple of times and then hang up, if I manage to answer the call nobody speaks then they hang up. I am sick to death of them, time wasters

Silvershine Services. 4 calls in 48 hrs all from Leicester based numbers. Call starts off with an automated voice asking about accident details. After answering yes and giving brief details, I am put through to a human being. Despite telling them on NUMEROUS occasions now that I DO NOT wish to receive these call, they still persist. Asking them to remove your number just results in the person you re speaking to ending the call. Reported to ICO

I got a call from this number this afternoon saying I have some questions, I only need 20 seconds of your time so after another 15 seconds I said that s 20 seconds, bye. He rang straight back and said you think you re clever but I m cleverer than you and hung up. Daft or what?

Same as above. I was about to launch into a tirade then decided not to waste any more of my own time. Not sure how people who engage in this type of thing can go home and face their family at night.

I was called this week by an intrusive salesperson who asked me if I went for walks. I told her I didn t think this was any of her business, and rang off.
