Woman calls claiming I have recently been the victim of a car accident which is a miracle as I don t drive. Hung up as soon as she said that but she first identified herself as being from Adept Consulting - I actually have a real client with the same business name which is why I carried on the call! Sounds as if it is a bank scam call as it was a recorded message warning me of suspicious transactions to companies which I hadn't used before. As you would expect from a recorded message, it didn't ask for myself or my wife in person or to try & authenticate me.

Call center SPAM Said his name was Alex, however he had a very strong Indian accent. He said that he was phoning from British Gas!? It was about boiler cover, house hold cover for both gas and electric. Asked a couple of questions. I had a call just now from this number it rang once and they hung up I am so pleased I read this tread before calling them back! I hope these scumbags get caught out! I have blocked this number from my phone so hopefully no more nuisance calls!
SCAM!! SCAM!! SCAM!! PRETEND TO BE FROM YOUR ENERGY COMPANY WITH YOUR ADDRESS AND NAME!! Then say they need a number from your INVOICE!! THIS IS TO SWITCH YOU OVER AND TAKE YOUR MONEY!! I asked to speak to management and the name of manager made up a random name. I said that person does not work in your department- they got angry told me I was being cut off and hung up!! Rang my original provider theu said it was a common scam!!

I received a pre-recorded message from this number claiming that an unauthorized payment has been taken from my Amazon account and that an unauthorized international transfer has taken place from my bank account. I believe this to be a SCAM so, beware!!
