This was an automated mans voice claiming to be some kind of fraud check saying there was unauthorised payments from my amazon account. Did not say who they were. Did not believe them so I hung up. No answer of any kind when phoned the number back. Immediately suspected a scam .

SCAM: Obviously a spoofed number- supposedly calling from my local area. An Indian sounding woman announced herself and said she was calling from BT. I don't have my phone line from BT, so I put on a silly voice & asked her if it was nice where she was, or was it raining? She ended the call.

Silent call. Hung up a little after I answered. They're in the North Manchester area. They're probably scammers a lot of unknown numbers from there have been.
Usual SCAM - this time looking like a local phone no - they're getting sneakier! Same old Automated Scam message - Amazon & International Money Transfer (aye, aye..,heard this **** for years). This number calls me every day with two or three times at about 10 minute intervals. They never leave any messages. Clearly they know that I would not wish to speak to them. They seem associated with another number 07482874785 which also calls each day with the same pattern and often one number makes its calls and is then followed 10 to 15 minutes later by the sequence from the other number.

But had numerous calls from Asian Trader Magazine wanting to now my mothers maiden name, my primary school. 4 times they have rung now a different person each time. This number called me this morning 10.02 am. What appeared to be recorded message told me that they were speaking from Visa and my card had been used to place an £800 bet in the USA, if this wasn't me press a button on the phone. Received a call from this number claiming to be Microsoft saying that they've detected a problem with my computer and asked if I can switch on my computer.
