Call to my rarelyused mobile at 1621 on Weds 10 May 23 When answered Paul wanted to tell me about full fibre broadband being installed in my area Normally I dont answer calls from numbers which are not recognised as friends but was waiting for a return call from another person Offer declined and hung up I suspect that other recent calls to my mobile from 0333 numbers are from similar marketing people

This company reported to be Heating Services, claims to act on behalf of British Gas Homecare and deals with all their support services. They rang to say they are reducing the cost of my homecare cover and including plumbing and electricity repairs. All I need to do is amend my Direct Debit. Scam. The line was so bad I couldn't even make out who they were pretending to be.

Wanted to talk about my life insurance policy but said it was an "AIG policy" which it isn't. When questioned on this he repeated the same thing once and then stealthily changed it to say he was working with my provider and AIG. Double checked and the two companies don't appear related. He then started on the spiel where he called it a personal policy which it isn't. Let him continue to waste his time and then told him the truth when he asked at which point he hung up on me. Total scam BS.

Poor reception where I was when I answered so they couldn't hear me, but they knew my name, eventually they hung up. I rang the number back later and immediately heard an automated message saying my custom was important to them and I would be answered by the next available agent but no-where in the message did they reveal who they were so hung up.
