This number calls you, you get a brief ringing tone and the call is answered silently and drops the line when you answer. Probably illegally locating live numbers for unsolicited calls.

Had this number - 01269849892 - ring today 7/10/15, this Asian sounding guy wanted to speak to my wife, I told him no, what did he want ? and that she wasn t available, I then told him that my number was ex-directory, he insisted he wanted to talk to her, so I told him you re not listening do NOT ring this number again.... I have been called on numerous occasions throughout the day from the number originating from Doncaster. I have no connection with Doncaster personally or work related. I have checked all policies held and none correspond. Probably easier to answer the call to confirm but this has the feel of a scam/cold call.

Best cold call ever. I answered, I was asked for by name and I asked who was calling. The fella said AMS Legal so I said I m not interested and put the phone down. They called back straight away and straight off the same person said what are you not insterested in? - I laughed and said are you for real to which he replied yes, very much and you ll never know about the opportunity that you ve just missed out on and hung up. I wish they were all as entertaining as this. I ve blocked and reported

Says things like ?and how do you know your life insurance isn?t now up for review? to try and fish for information regarding when your life insurance is up for review to make them sound legitimate. Also said ?we?re not dodgy, I think it is cause of the Welsh accent people often assume I?m from a call centre?. Hung up when I told him I was at work. I think they guess who you have life insurance with so they sound legit. They call around once a month.
