The call was in relation to a card payment. The call seems fradulant as the card type mentioned was visa and this was wrong.

Automated phone call "from the bank" saying that money has come out of the account. Has rang numerous times.

Fraud Said from Virgin Media security saying hackers were on my router Started to tell me to download an app on my mobile so they could send me a security code when confronted and asked questions they panicked and hung up. BEWARE

As was on my work number, I called back and it is a disconnected number.

Call center, SCAM. Claimed to be calling on behalf of mobile phone provider but didn't know who owned the phone and wanted name and address. Wouldn't give his name when challenged. Loud call centre. Strong Indian accent. Called mid Sunday afternoon.

Tried scamming my grandma in Brazil

SCAM First of all said they were from Windows, wanted me to turn on my computer so they could stop the hackers who had been trying to get my personal information. They said if I didn't turn on the computer now they would block everything, stop it from working and the hackers would use my information to get access to my accounts. When I asked them to speak to someone in the house who works in IT security they rang off quickly.

SCAM Had the name of the person who had my number a decade ago. Told me that person had given them this number when bought a washing machine in 2018. When I pointed this out they hung up so I could not find out the nature of the scam. But number could have been spoofed.

They cold-call phoned me about renewal of insurance on kitchen white goods. They needed some banking details to alter the payment paperwork because they were giving me a no-claims discount. Knew enough about me to make this plausible. I 'needed to go to an appointment' [actually true] so I had to ask them to phone back tomorrow - which they were readily willing to do. SCAM those numerous belongs to a Turkish takeaway in Coventry. The phone number has been spoofed and they claim to be ee customer services. I just said I don't want ee and hung up.

SCAM Second call in as many minutes all from Blackburn area telephone numbers. Supposedly from our Bank- 2 transactions this morning - one from Amazon for £300 and another for £1100 for International Money transfer - suspicious- if you didn’t authorise these press 1 to speak to someone- didn’t- now blocked.

SCAM!!! We had a ‘New Customer’ approach us and ask for a quote so we sent over a New Customer form to make sure we could offer a credit facility. They filled in the details of a reputable company so passed the credit check. However, when it came to payment due date, the phone number they provided no longer works and emails are coming back with an automatic reply each time from various different email addresses. I have searched each of these email addresses and they show up on a few scam websites.
