Caller had Liverpool accent and said was from a company called ACA. Wanted to speak about a 'bump in the road' and possible compensation. I asked where she had got details from and was told it was from an 'opt-in provider' and when I asked for more details on who would be providing information on something that had not happened she hung up. Received call 13.02.21 from someone claiming to be from BT. Said there had been an issue reported regarding the router and it would be disconnected. Played along for a while to try and get more info. Asked for the name of the manager so I could check the call was genuine. After several attempts they gave a name of Shaun Williams! Caller was foreign. Definitely a scam. BT are not my internet service provider! It is not their router! How would they know if there was a problem with my router! Reported to BT
Company is called Oriel Collections. They call every day and chases for a music licence payment for our store. We have advised them several times, no music playing in the office. We have asked for them to attend the facility at any time and spot check if they wish. We have nothing to hide. They advise, they dont have to do that and demand payment ! At our wits end to prove our case........now bordering on harassment !
