Fraud. First time they called they say that a year’s subscription for Amazon Prime has been taken and to get it back you have to follow their instructions which gives them access to your account. Second time they said they are from Amazon and that someone has tried to buy something on your account. Very insistent and pushy. Asian accent.

Message sent claiming to be my child and to block their old number and text this new number from now on. I asked which child and was told to guess... amazingly I guessed the name correctly! (even though I have no kids). I'm guessing this long lost child would probably eventually ask for some money or something...

However the van he had me as owning was from over 5 years ago, so I guess this is some old hacked database and then a scam to get your money. Automated call claiming to be from Amazon concerning a potential fraud on my account, asked me to press 1 on my phone. Amazon do not have the number that was used, this was a scam attempt.

Once they get the 9 digit ID they can then see your screen They ask you to log into websites, copy the url to 'test' the connection. Luckily my pw auto logs in, so I didn't type it. Be wary as on the BT website it does say they wouldn't ask you to screen share
