Maybe I'm being too harsh marking this as Dangerous - I heard an unconvincing attempt at phishing from, supposedly, 'your call blocking service', 08-03-22.

SCAM Guy called Daniel Gomes purporting to be from Amazon Prime informing me that someone in Manchester had tried to use my account and they needed to verify my details or my account would be suspended for my protection. I did not supply any information, but was told to think about it and call back on 0208 123 7233 which I certainly did not do. I was called again later and this time I hung up. I have received genuine e-mails from Amazon mentioning this type of scam.

I received a phone from a person called Kevin representing Windows technical support from phone number 02045009692. He told me the usual nonsense about my computer but I told him that I was not interested as I had got rid of my computer because of these scam phone calls. I told him in no uncertain terms not to bother me again.

Phone call offering me a new phone and contract with massive savings. When I asked question that the caller was not prepared for or on her script she became very confused. I gave her false information about my phone, contract cost and provider and asked more questions that she could not answer she hung up. Number now blocked.

Automated call; supposedly from bank, but no name of bank mentioned. Two allegedly suspicious transactions mentioned. followed by a press-button menu. When I called my genuine bank it was confirmed there were no suspect transactions.

They tried offering me a £35 contact for 24 months for a Samsung S23 ultra, which was too good to be true worked out at (£840.00). *****Suspected SCAM**** Someone saying they were from Marston Recovery (High Court Enforcement) regarding unpaid council tax. I don't owe council tax. They became rude when I told them I would not give any information and did not owe any money. SCAM this number is made to look like a local (to me) number which is why I answered. Automated voice saying that two unauthorised transactions had been made on my card and that I should press 1 to talk to an agent. Please don't fall for this scam.

It was autocall which said, if you been avoiding tax you will be charge a fee... Or something alone these lines...

Looks like a classic "You owe tax" asked for my name and occupation and obviously I gave completely false info and yet they carried on like I just confirmed my identity.

02036109310 SCAM I believe, Claimed to be Edward from virgin media about my firewall protection...was very keen to want to send me something on my mobile. He was momentarily interested in sending it to my laptop until I told him it was a work issued laptop. Told him my phone was not internet connected as I found it to distracting and he hung up without a goodbye.I suspect the thought of a work issued laptop put him off as it would have good security and catch the rogue link he wanted to send me?
