Tried to upgrade my phone, but took my account details and card number, address etc. I am quite worried now that they have too many details and will use them. No sign of upgrade through my usual EE account!

has anybody logged on car insurance sites as these calls started after I had posted my details to get car insurance. If these insurance companies are passing our information on surely its against the data protection laws and they should be prosecuted.

They act like they are from British gas but are a separate company collecting money on behalf of them

Called me to advise i had been involved in an accident in my car which wasn t my fault, I agreed and explained i was having sex with my gf when the condom burst and while i was asking if her company would take Durex to court she hung up !!!

Cold call trying to sell solar panels despite me being listed for years on TPS Company maybe false but polite and promised not to call again so didnt report to TPS

Either phone rings and there is an engaged tone when I answer, or I answer it and it seems to be from a foreign call centre threatening debt collection, court and bailiffs when no one in my home even uses 3! Caller said they wanted to ask how I was getting on with new mobile - odd as I have had this one for nearly 18 months! I asked where they had got my number from - they kept repeating they obtained data from market research - I said that was not enough & asked to speak to their supervisor - they put phone down.

Just got call from this person spoke with english accent asked about car I was selling on gumtree only posted seconds before phone call then asked about accidents and I hung up had two calls this week off same number one before got straight to the point asking about an accident i had. I ve never had one in my life I challenged him and he hung up. My guess there getting numbers off gumtree ads for cars. Number now blocked.

Silvershine Services. 4 calls in 48 hrs all from Leicester based numbers. Call starts off with an automated voice asking about accident details. After answering yes and giving brief details, I am put through to a human being. Despite telling them on NUMEROUS occasions now that I DO NOT wish to receive these call, they still persist. Asking them to remove your number just results in the person you re speaking to ending the call. Reported to ICO

Constant harassment calls

I was contacted by this number who said they were Carphone Warehouse and I was due an upgrade on my phone. I felt the telemarketer was very friendly but was very pushy. Repeating my details over and over. He then had to phone back to say that my address wasn t on their system and that I needed to phone Orange and update even though I have lived at my address for 34 years and had 3 Orange contracts. Needless to say I told them not to bother.
