Phfishing Fraud says calling about warranty on purchased item. Says his name was Steven Stacey.

Answer with robotic American accented voice saying how important call is. Out of interest I held on for a minute of so and no-one came back. Hung up and they have since rang 4 times!! I did not ring them on my mobile number but a private landline with a witheld number. Ooops there they go again... BLOCK THEM

Clearly this is a nuisance and most certainly is unsolicited. Whilst the number appears to be a Manchester number clearly it is not. An elderly family member had a call from this number and in no way could understand the Asian caller. It is probably a fake number. When they ask if I have been in an accident recently my usual answer is to say "You tell me you seem to know". To the contributor who asked what 00 means in front of the number it is simply the first 2 digits you would dial when calling

When i questioned them about what accident they were referring to and which company instructed them to call me they quickly hung up

I booked a flight with this number . They call Air Ticket Trolley --They scammed me -- I am investigating with Master Card and reported the same to Anti Fraud Agency . Also reported to BBC Watchdog.

If calling from Trinidad clearly a SCAM so blocked as they didnt leave a message on the ans phone

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 1618147xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI, accident chasers, RTA - claims of all kinds. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). People did they call you with the same or something new? I really don't answer unknown numbers and don't want to call them back...

Very nice guy but to do with PPI , I had ignored the call 5 times today in work and thought better to know what they want instead of blocking.
