I have the TruCaller App (Free version) it notifies you of scams, etc before you answer. I will be using this on my new phone, it s a great little App and instantly told me this was a PPI scam. I recommend this App to anyone, and I blocked this number straight away. All numbers TruCaller checks against a huge database of Blaclisted phone numbers.

Received a call this morning from the above number. Said that my pension was now due for review. Said they were the PENSIONS ADVICE BUREAU and confirmed my address and postcode. Said they were conducting reviews on UK pensions and that my pension was due for review. Seems strange as I have no pension nor is one then up for review. Company asking if I'd had a car accident in the last three years - then became very rude when I wouldn't confirm or deny whether I had.
Called twice within the hour during the evening. Nottingham code. We live hundreds of miles from there! Left answer machine to deal with it. Recorded message saying there was a power cut in our area (there was not) press a number to acknowledge we'd heard the message (we didn't). We unplugged the phone overnight as they'd said they'd let us know when the power would be back on. Odd!
