Fraud Claimed she was the techincal dept of Virgin Media and that she could see that my internet connection was fluctuating and that she could restart my router to get a better connection. I told her she had called a business and which point she hung up.

cold calling - they pretend to be linked to lots if Life Assurance companies and acting on their behalf. They are not. Was bored and made up some data, they they pass you to someone who tries to sell you a policy. They quote the FCA many times - but when pushed confirm they are not regulated by them. Hang up, or have 5 mins of fun winding them up

This number has called me relentlessly trying to get information from me. I have bipolar and have no issues with my benefits claim. They keep stating that I need to send them my bank statements and have refused to give me her employee number or managers number or a contact for the department she works for.

Answered because it was a local number, it was a recorded message informing me she was from Visa protection (or some such) and a £300 payment to Amazon and £1000 and odd to elsewhere were pending, press #1 for help if I had not authorised them. An unnerving scam, could easily catch someone out. Blocked.
It is not the first time I have been contacted by this caller telling me that he was some sort of energy consultant. A very pushy type, not willing to to give up, even when I said I was not interested.Utilities

this number is for a ulez payment but is a con i paid a charge of £17.50 and is on my bank statement as ULEZSERVICE but my ulez charge has not been paid on the receipt is this number every time i call picked up and cut of never have i spoken to any one i would never have known unless i called tfl and asked why they took £17.50 instead of £12.50 where i now have a £80.00 charge so this scam has cost me almost £100.00

Safe number Received a call from 03333440000 trying to give me a text message to my landline. I hung up. Then I decided to check them out and it turned out to be a GENUINE COMPANY called AQL who were simply trying to give me a message. I called 03333446527 to retrieve my message which was from a NHS supplier. The message was important to me! Why the NHS supplier chose to send a text to my landline when they have my mobile number is a mystery to me. No worries here.

I got a call this morning from this same and it sounded like an Indian person on the other line asking for my name and then it immediately dropped. I call back the number and the voice note confirmed that the number has been theft from another user and is now been used for SCAM and that none shouldn’t entertained it. SCAM txt message from this number. Advising me I’ve been in close contact with someone who has recently tested positive. Please order a test kit: with a web address. (Doesn’t even say positive for what) Fools! I attempted to look up the web address on my iPad and it came up as non existent. Presumably they would have tried to make me pay for them.
