This number called an ex-directory phone. I do not take unknown calls. The person left a message on my answer machine in a foreign tongue, possibly Mandarin or similar.

When I answered the call a man said he was calling from a security company which installed alarms etc - I said I was not interested and he said ok and I switched off phone. It was to my mobile number which I have only given to friends and family - cannot understand how I am now getting calls on this phone mainly from phones which appear to be in the North of England. Called my elderly grandad just now (isn?t the first time). He couldn?t understand him so passed the phone to me.
