The organisation using this number are expert scammers. They already had my o2 mobile phone number, contract account number and asked me to confirm my address before offering a discount on my tariff. I was aware it was a scam and played dumb for a while until they sent me the text which would have given them full access to my account had I replied to it. After wasting their time for 10 minutes, I told them I knew they were scammers and they became very abusive, then misscalled my number around 20 times

I just got a call claiming (falsely) to be from this number, claiming (again falsely) that it was BT Openreach (or something). I answered a call from this number, and heard a male at the other end of the line with the sound of other people in the room. He didn’t answer immediately, and after a short while asked if I could hear him, to which I, possibly foolishly replied “Yeah, yeah”. The phone was not put down at his end, but there was no reply when I tried to communicate at which point I ended the call.

This is a number that is in a series of numbers from 0843566xxxx on rotation that I have been blocking for 3+ years. It’s clearly cold calling for insurance as I have answered a call however most calls ring 3 times before ending the call. Very difficult to track. And every time you block one number, another variation of the first 7 numbers appears a few days later. Very annoying. Very frustrating.
