SCAM Message says that your internet and phone connection is going to be cut off, to stop it press 1, press 2 to go along with disconnection. Getting 3 or 4 of these a day, a different number each time but all 0161 numbers.
They call you and say, I am currier guy for indira Gandhi airport. Your parcel are delivered this address. Plz payment first than delivered your parcel at your address. You paid for the parcel (Rs.40000). Then it is said that this parcel. Contains gold and diamond necklaces, before that you have to pay another Rs.2 lach. after that we will send your parcel to your address. This is a big fraud.

I have also had the silent and then Goodbye calls from this number. Today I spoke to two of their agents on two seperate calls. The company is called Consumer Care Direct based in Manchester and claim to save money for you, as long as you give them some. After telling the first caller that I would be reporting them to TPS I received another call 3 minutes later from an arrogant agent calling himself Victor. claimed to be from my internet provider-asked me to confirm router was working ok as had received large volume of calls. SCAM - Fake Curry's PC World offers from an Indian call centre.
2nd call to landline in 10 days (1st differed by last 2 digits -15). I answer, it beeps then silence (same both times). Local area dialling code but that's no proof of locality these days. Unknown if scam but known as nuisance at any rate.
